Welcome to US DENTURIST.com. We are your denturist public awareness web site; sponsored by the American Denturist Advocacy Council. We hope the following, aids you in understanding what a denturist is and how they, the denturists, can improve the current denture health care system.
"Ill-functioning or lack of dentures often present emotional and social problems, and therefore substantially impair the quality of life of the edentulous. On numbers of occasions, subjects expressed considerable sadness about their inability to chew favorite foods."

The above is quoted from a report completed by the Federal Trade Commission in September 1980 entitled "The Sale of Complete Dentures: Effects of Present and Alternative Regulations," which was based on a five-year study. The observance was also made that, for many, eating is one of the few remaining accessible pleasures.

The Solution? DENTURISTS. The aforementioned FTC report recommended a superior alternative to the current denture care delivery system, the practice of denturism. Denturists are denture technicians who have expanded their education and experience to become specialized public denture practitioners. They offer superior service, save patients much time and aggravation, and do all this for 1/3 to 1/2 of what a dentist would charge.

Denturists are highly trained health professionals. Because dentures are their specialty, they are able to produce a better end product; thus satisfying their patients at a much higher standard.

Dentistry's scope is so broad that it cannot adequately provide its students proficient training with only four years of study; consequently their expertise in the fitting and fabrication of dentures is extremely limited - only a few hours are spent on the subject. Dentists, threfore, have to become middlemen who do not make dentures, but must order them from denture laboratories, where skilled denture technicians construct them: denturists.
