The provincial associations have established standards for the materials used in the fabrication of dentures. these materials are, at a minimum, those approved by the Canadian or American Dental Associations. The societies particularly encourage their members to use high quality teeth. It is the policy of the societies that denturists guarantee their work to the satisfaction of their customers. It appears that this practice is widely followed, as regulatory and welfare agencies and insurance companies report very few complaints about denturists' services. Representatives of the American Dental Association who have visited Canadian denturists offices found them to be clean and sanitary. The same observation as been reported by representatives of the National Association of Dental Laboratories. According to the ADA representative, a dentist on the regulatory board of the denturists in Manitoba found clean and sanitary conditions in virtually all of the 60% of the offices in that province which he had personally inspected.
