In contrast, providing denture care is the primary interest of denturists who are as concerned as any professional with the quality of their work. They argue that, at present, they are hampered in providing an aesthetically pleasing product, as they cannot see the patient and are not given sufficient information by the dentist in these respects. Finally, they argue that, in light of the quality of which they are capable, consumers should be free to choose whether they wish to obtain dentures from dentists or from denturists.
