In one case in Illinois, a denturist was discovered when a customer wrote to the State Dental Board to complain that he had been dissatisfied with the dentures he had obtained from three different dentists, but that he was quite pleased with the dentures the denturist had fitted. One denturist in Georgia was acquitted after the witness who testified that she had purchased her dentures from him further indicated that she was, at the moment, wearing them.
